Cohen Media nabs Rohauer Film Collection

Charles S. Cohen has acquired the privileges towards the Raymond Rohauer Film Assortment of over 700 game titles, including prints of DW Griffith's "Birth of the Nation," Rudolf Valentino's "Boy from the Sheik" and every one of Buster Keaton's films. Cohen Media Group stated it intends to create a comprehensive distribution arrange for branding and showing the library towards the marketplace through theatrical distribution, DVD release and digital delivery. The organization also expects to substantially increase efforts to promote and develop its remake privileges. "There's a gold mine of classic films within this collection," Cohen stated. "It is only waiting to become restored and observed in its full glory and where artistically relevant re-designed for present day audiences." Other game titles within the collection include Griffith's "Intolerance" and "Orphans from the Storm," Frederick von Sternberg's "Nowhere Angel," Jean Cocteau's "Bloodstream of the Poet" and many Douglas Fairbanks films including "The Crook of Bagdad" and "The Kitty and also the Canary." The Cohen Media Group may also be seeking distribution and co-financing endeavors for brand new productions too for sequels, remakes and live stage productions. The Rohauer Collection includes yet-to-be-recognized materials including: contracts, shooting scripts, filmmaker notes and a lot of rare film memorabilia. Cohen noted that only 10% from the Rohauer Collection, presently located at various sites in america such as the Library of Congress and Europe, has been manufactured available and showed towards the public. Cohen created Cohen Media Group in 2008 and the organization would be a producer on "Frozen River."
